Section 8.72.050 Abatement by municipality.

If the person or persons so notified neglect or fail to abate the nuisance as directed, the city manager or his designee initiating the notice, may cause the nuisance to be abated, keeping an accurate account of the expense incurred. The expense account shall be fully itemized, verified and filed with the city clerk. Such expenses shall be assessed by the city council to the owner of the property on which the nuisance occurs. In addition, the city may also seek reimbursement for costs incurred in abating a public nuisance by civil action for damages against the property owner.  (Ord. 91/T-10490)
