
TREE COMMISSION
The Tree Commission promotes the preservation of existing trees in the City of Sioux City to the greatest extent practicable by limiting the unnecessary destruction of trees caused by public or private development, redevelopment, or the routine maintenance of public facilities; assists in the promotion of the planting of proper species of trees where those trees would promote the health and welfare of the residents of Sioux City; and assists in the preservation of native prairie where trees would be inappropriate.
