
BUILDING AND HOUSING CODE BOARD
The Building Code Board of Appeals hears and decides appeals of any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the Building Inspector in the enforcement of the City's Building Code; and determines the suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction and provides interpretations of the Code.

MEMBERSHIP: Must be qualified by experience or training to rule on matters pertaining to building construction.
1 member - licensed architect, registered in the State of Iowa
1 member - licensed structural engineer, registered in Iowa
1 member - landlord of more than one rental dwelling in the city
1 member - homebuilder engaged primarily in new home construction
1 member - commercial general contractor
1 member - Sioux city Historic Preservation Commission Member
