URBAN RENEWAL
The City administers housing rehabilitations programs for owners of houses within targeted urban renewal neighborhoods.
Single Family, Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Our housing rehabilitation program is designed to help low to middle income residents of targeted urban renewal neighborhoods make their homes safe and livable.
The program provides up to $25,000 for major home renovations including lead based paint removal, roofing, electrical work, plumbing, window replacement/repair, foundation work, painting and siding. For additional information please call 712-279-6328.
Rental Rehabilitation Our rehabilitation program is designed to assist landlords who own property within targeted urban renewal neighborhoods improve the exterior of their buildings. The program provides up to $5,000 per unit for exterior rehabilitation including lead based paint hazard removal, roofing, chimney repair/replacement, scraping & painting, siding, foundation repair, landscaping, window repair, debris removal, private sidewalk and driveway replacement.
