  • Introduction: Fall Fest returns to Sioux City October 11-13, 2019! With so much to do, you can now enjoy THREE days of fun this fall season! Spend time with friends and family and experience activities at dozens of local attractions around the community!

Nature’s Fall Fest 
4:00pm – 7:00pm, Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center, 4500 Sioux River Road (1 mile south of Stone State Park on Hwy 12)
Come decorate a pumpkin, meet some creepy critters, and go on a self-guided Jack-o-Lantern scavenger hunt on our trails. Participants can also view the exhibits or play at the Nature Playscape. Long Lines Family Rec Center Climbing Wall
4:00pm-6:00pm or 6:00pm-8:00pm; Long Lines Family Rec Center, 401 Gordon Drive
$10.00 per person, 2-hour session which includes shoe rental
Walk-ins accepted, but recommend reservations as we can only accommodate 25 climbers for each session. Everyone who enters the climbing area must complete a waiver. Waivers must be completed by a parent or legally appointed guardian if the individual is under 18 years of age. Must be at least 5 years old to climb. Interested parties can call 712-224-5124 for information and reservations!

Corn Palace Coloring Contest
10:00am-5:00pm; Sioux City Public Museum, 607 4th Street
Children ages 12 and younger are invited to use their creativity to re-imagine a late 1800s Corn Palace, an iconic Sioux City structure celebrating bountiful agricultural harvests. Coloring pages and supplies will be available at the Museum on Saturday and Sunday for participants to complete their Corn Palace creations.  Those wanting to complete a coloring page at home may print a pdf from siouxcitymuseum.org.  Entries must be received at the Museum by October 13 at 5:00pm to be eligible for the contest.  Prizes ($25 Museum Store gift certificate) will be awarded in the youth categories of 8 and younger and 9-12 years. The Art of Mask Making

Children are welcome to attend this FREE mixed media workshop. Markers, sequins, gem stones and feathers will be used to enhance a mask of their choice.

The Great Halloween Festival
