The Sioux City Art Center is preparing for its 26th year of Art Center’s ArtSplash, Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1. ArtSplash is a popular Labor Day weekend community event, featuring exhibiting artists from across the country along with family-friendly entertainment and hands-on art activities.

Know before you go:
ArtSplash is held August 31 & September 1 at Riverside Park.
Festival Hours are: Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission is $5 per adult for a two-day wristband, children 11 & under are FREE. Discount admission vouchers are available for purchase in advance at Sioux City and South Sioux City Hy-Vee customer service counters, as well as at the Art Center. The vouchers are exchanged for wristbands at the entrances of ArtSplash. 

Parking is provided at no charge at Riverside Park and Siouxland Youth Athletics parking lots, with Shuttle Service provided from SYA parking lots to the North entrance of the festival by Short Staffed, Inc. Remember: no pets, skateboards, bikes or coolers are allowed on festival grounds, but service animals are always welcome.

Main Stage Headliners:
- Lil Red and the Medicated Moose Band brings the festival to life on the ArtSplash Main Stage, Saturday at 1 p.m.
- The Ruralists bring down the house on the Main Stage, Sunday at 1 p.m.

Other Main Stage acts include Paul Imholte, Adam Girard & Angie Lambrecht from Ultra Violet Fever.

Children’s Activities include inflatables and bungee bounces, Balloon Master Greg and his balloon sculpting skills, and a variety of art activities. Entertainment on our Children’s Stage includes fun acts with Jered the Incredible, Lisa Ryan Zumba, Marshall’s Taekwondo, and the Sioux City Police Department. Children’s Activity Tickets are $1 each and ticket purchases help support many area non-profit groups. A listing of Kids Art Zone projects and the Children’s Stage schedule can be found on our website.

Festival goers will want to stop by the Engage the Community Area. Located in the center of the festival, this area brings local non-profits together to highlight programming and upcoming events in a fun, interactive way that guests will want to experience. Central to this area is a sculpture from the Sioux City Art Center’s Permanent Collection, called “Don Quixote.” The Engage the Community Area is underwritten by State Steel.

Festival guests can pay for all ArtSplash fun with credit or debit cards, thanks to FiberComm. An ATM is also on-site for the convenience of our patrons.

Festival food is an important part of Art Center’s ArtSplash, and this year brings a new round of treats to tantalize our guests’ taste buds.

The ArtSplash experience is not complete without the artists that travel from all corners of the country to display and sell their work at Art Center’s ArtSplash. We are proud to welcome 78 artists this year. Be prepared for another outstanding year at Art Center’s ArtSplash!
