Faces of Siouxland to be Held March 31
The Sioux City Human Rights Commission will host the annual “Faces of Siouxland Multicultural Fair” on Sunday, March 31st. Held at the Sioux City Convention Center at 801 4th Street, the Fair celebrates the diversity within our community through music, dance and art. This large and lively event runs from noon to 4 pm and is free and open to the public.
You are invited to see and hear talented local groups and individuals who will be performing bright, cultural dance and music all afternoon. There will be nearly 80 organizations with a wide variety of free informational booths. In addition, there will be several vendors with great ethnic foods and baked goods for sale. Visitors will also find various arts and crafts for sale, too.
Opening ceremony begins at noon with recognition of our great land and the sacrifice and unity that perpetuate it. Festival entertainment proceeds all afternoon until 4 pm. Please join your neighbors and friends at this grand free event that has been hosted by the Sioux City Human Rights Commission for 28 years.
Children of all ages are welcome to enjoy our supervised “Kid’s Space” where there will be arts, crafts and face painting. We also have balloon artist, “Ditzy the Twister” who will be making free balloon art for children. Free parking is available near the Convention Center and in the Discovery Parking Ramp across the street.
