Showcasing Local History Through the Eyes of 4th grade Students
Models and posters of local historic landmarks, people, and events created by 4th grade students are showcased in the 28th annual Sioux City History Projects exhibit now on display at the Sioux City Public Museum.
After studying local history, 1,000 students from 13 participating schools created projects on Sioux City’s past and present. Projects displayed in the Museum have been evaluated according to their uniqueness, quality and how they relate to Sioux City history. Unique creations this year include the Warrior Hotel, Cathedral of the Epiphany, Evans Park, Stone Park Zoo, Big Soo Terminal, and the Sioux City Huskers baseball team. The exhibit will be on display through May 11 when students will be honored at a reception and awards ceremony.
