Riverside Pool & Aquatic Season

Post Date:05/23/2019 4:00 PM

The Riverside Family Aquatic Center (RFAC) will not open Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-27. A $272,000 plaster replacement project was completed this spring. The plaster was replaced for the first time since opening the swimming pool in 1993. The cold and rainy spring made it difficult to complete the project during the anticipated time frame which has pushed back the opening date. The Parks and Recreation Department anticipates opening Riverside Pool on Saturday, June 1.  A public announcement will be made early next week once we have confirmed the projects are completed. The price of admission is $3.50 for children (2-17 years of age); $4.25 (18 years and older); children until 2 years of age are free. Riverside Pool’s operating hours are 1 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Leif Erikson Pool and Lewis Pool will open for the season on Monday, June 3. The price of admission is $2.25 for children (2-17 years of age); $3.50 (18 years and older); children until 2 years of age are free. Leif Pool and Lewis Pool operating hours are 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.

All City owned splash pads will be open to the public starting Saturday, May 25 for the season. All splash pads are free to use and a public restroom is now available at each location. The new restrooms at Leeds and Dale Street Parks have plumbing work to be completed by the City’s contractor but will be up and running in the near future.
