  • AirPower History Tour Visits Sioux Gateway Airport

    The sights, sounds, and stories of World War II aviation will come to Sioux City when the Boeing B-29 Superfortress, FIFI, lands at Sioux Gateway Airport, accompanied by a T-6 Texan and a PT-13 Stearman. Public tours and rides will be available August 7-11, 2019 from 9am-5pm.

  • I-29 Construction Update: Hamilton Blvd. at I-29 Closure

    According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, Hamilton Boulevard at Interstate 29 will be closed at 9 p.m. Monday, July 8, weather permitting, to place bridge beams. Hamilton Blvd. will be closed for approximately 20-minute intervals with repeated closures every evening through July 13.

    The US Coast Guard this afternoon re-opened the Missouri River from just north of Sioux City (mile marker 750) to Napoleon, MO (mile marker 330). A slow, no wake zone has been established for South Sioux City, NE (mile marker 728-734).
