  • I-29 Construction Update: Hamilton Blvd. at I-29 Closure

    According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, Hamilton Boulevard at Interstate 29 will be closed at 9 p.m. Monday, July 8, weather permitting, to place bridge beams. Hamilton Blvd. will be closed for approximately 20-minute intervals with repeated closures every evening through July 13.

    The US Coast Guard this afternoon re-opened the Missouri River from just north of Sioux City (mile marker 750) to Napoleon, MO (mile marker 330). A slow, no wake zone has been established for South Sioux City, NE (mile marker 728-734).

    Commercial and recreational operators are advised that the Missouri River is closed to all vessel traffic from St. Louis, MO to just north of Sioux City, IA. This closure is in effect due to existing hazards such as drift and high water.
