    The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the closure of Nebraska Street from 19th Street to 22nd Street. This closure will begin the morning of Monday, June 17, 2019 and will end when utility and road construction is complete, which is estimated to be in August of 2019.

  • Missouri River Re-Opens to Vessel Traffic

    The US Coast Guard this afternoon re-opened the Missouri River from just north of Sioux City (mile marker 750) to Napoleon, MO (mile marker 330). A slow, no wake zone has been established for South Sioux City, NE (mile marker 728-734).

    The Iowa Finance Authority and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources announced that 18 Iowa communities with current State Revolving Fund loans for water quality projects will save a total of $6.2 million in interest over the remaining life of their loans as a result of their interest rate
