Siouxland Pride Alliance and Sioux City Pride, in collaboration with Sioux City Human Rights and other organizations, will host two weeks of LGBTQ Pride events in Sioux City to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, which is considered the beginning of the LGBTQ rights movement.

The Riverside Family Aquatic Center (RFAC) will not open Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-27. All city-owned splash pads will be open beginning Saturday, May 25.

The Utilities Division will begin flushing fire hydrants on Monday, May 27. Crews will start flushing on Indian Hills Drive and go west toward Riverside. Fire hydrant flushing is preventative maintenance and your water is safe to drink.
