Winter Parking Restrictions
Emergency Snow Routes
- During a snow emergency, no parking is allowed on Emergency Snow Routes (ESR) - look for the blue sign with a snowflake. ESR MAP
- Vehicles may begin parking on Emergency Snow Routes again when:
- The snow windrow has been removed from the street and snow has been removed from the parking stalls, or
- The snow emergency is called off, whichever is earlier.
Snow Emergency
- When a snow emergency is delared by the Mayor, odd/even parking goes into effect throughout the city.
- On even days of the month, park on the even side of the street after 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. the following day. (Example: February 2 park on even side of the street with even house numbers from 7:00 a.m. February 2 until 7:00 a.m. February 3, when you would move it to the odd side of the street)
- On odd days of the month, park on odd side of street after 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. the following day.
(Example: February 3 park on odd side of the street with odd house numbers)
- The city will notify residents via website, press release to media outlets, e-notification and social media platforms when the Snow Emergency is declared and again once the snow emergency has ended.
