The Library Board of Trustees determines policies for the Library's operation; selects a Director with the authority and responsibility for administration of the Library; develops the Library's annual funding request; budgets the funds appropriated by the City Council; authorizes all major expenditures; carries out duties assigned by State and local ordinances; actively seeks funding for the Library's needs and services; and promotes the Library in the community.
