The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board makes recommendations on: policies and regulations for parks and recreation programs; the purchase, sale, lease, or exchange of any park property; the personnel necessary to operate and maintain the parks and recreation programs; the application for grants or subsidies from any other unit of government; and on conditions for services rendered to users of the parks and recreation facilities. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board also develops and implements programs for educating the community on existing parks and recreational programs and the importance of such programs; and assists in the preparation of the budget for parks and recreation programs and the presentation of the budget to the City Council.
