INFORMATION FOR SUBMITTALS FOR PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION WITHIN THE LEVEE CRITICAL AREA

Any construction that is performed below the surface of the ground within 500-feet of the top of the levee requires a permit from the city.  This includes sidewalks, paving, footings, irrigation lines, fiber optics, storm sewer pipes, sanitary sewers, water mains, etc.  This type of construction can cause damage to the levees and would result in the city being out of compliance with the US Army Corps of Engineers.  Review the document below to learn more.
