Notice for Sioux City Utility Customers

Credit card, debit card, electronic check. Starting July 1, 2025 $3.20 fee per transactionThe City of Sioux City currently covers the transaction fee for customers who pay their utility bills using a credit/debit card or electronic check. However, beginning July 1, 2025, a $3.20 fee per transaction will apply to all payments made online or by phone using these payment methods.

Customers can continue to avoid this fee by setting up auto pay through the City or using their own bank’s bill pay service. These options are not subject to the $3.20 fee.
 
If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the Customer Service Center in City Hall, 405 6th Street, or call 712-279-6132, Option 1. Hours are Monday–Thursday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.


If you are already a City Utility Billing customer, click here to Set Up an Online Account, click on "New User" at the top right of the Click2GOV Utility Billing home page to create your account. If you need assistance setting up your online account, contact the Customer Service Center, 712-279-6132, Option 1, or by email.

 After you create your online account, you will be able to:

  • Pay your City Utility Bill online
  • Sign up for E-Notification and Paperless Billing
  • View Account Information

    You can set up Automatic Utility Payments by completing the Bank Authorization Form (English Version), (Spanish Version) payments will be automatically deducted each month from your checking or savings account. You can email the completed form; mail it to the Customer Service Center, PO Box 447, Sioux City, Iowa 51102; or deliver the completed form to the Customer Service Center, 1st Floor in City Hall, 405 6th Street.  If you have questions call the Customer Service Center at 712-279-6132, Option 1.

    If you can't make it to City Hall during our regular business hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays, excluding holidays, use one of the Payment Drop Boxes located at Sioux City Hy-Vee Stores, Indian Hills Fareway, and across the street from City Hall.
