Pit Bulls - Penalties do not apply to pet tag renewals for Pit Bulls. If you are a pit bull owner, you must renew your pit bull license BEFORE March 1st or the license will be deemed non-continuous and your pit bull will no longer be exempt from the City-wide ban. Pit Bull owners have until 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2019 to renew their pit bull's license.

Pet owners may begin applying for pet license renewals beginning December 1st at the Customer Service Center, 405 6th Street; Sioux City Animal Adoption & Rescue, 2400 Hawkeye Drive; or participating veterinarians. Notices will be mailed out in December.
