Engineering currently has around 100 active projects in various stages of planning, design, and construction. Detailed information including project updates, maps, and street closures will be shared as the projects develop through the City’s website.
The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the resumption of work of the 29th Street Reconstruction Project – Jones Street to Cheyenne Boulevard. The contractor plans to begin construction on or about April 6, 2026. All work is anticipated to be completed in Late Fall 2026.
