  • Street Repairs - 414 11th Street & 2219 Terrace Place Project

    The project is located at 414 11th Street, and 2219 Terrace Place and includes the removal and replacement of full depth street paving, curb and gutter.

  • July Construction Update

    The following is an overview of the City of Sioux City Engineering Division’s projects currently under construction.

  • Bridgeport Improvements Phase 1-4

    Bridgeport's Improvements consist of installation of a 12 inch sanitary sewer, a 16 inch water main, culverts, grading, concrete pavement, new signal installation, new lane configuration, realignment of Harbor Drive, and construction of a new roadway. This is set to take place in four (4) project phases.

  • 1300 Block 3rd Street Emergency Watermain Repairs Project

    The project is located at the 1300 Block of 3rd Street and includes the removal and replacement of paving broken by a watermain failure and the replacement of watermain.

  • 30th Street and Pierce Street Intersection Reconstruction Project

    This project is located at the 30th Street and Pierce Street intersection in the north side of Sioux City and includes construction of new paving, water mains, storm sewer and sanitary sewer.

  • June Construction Update

    The following is an overview of the City of Sioux City Engineering Division’s projects currently under construction. Detailed information including project updates, maps, and street closures will be shared as the projects develop through the City’s Engineering website www.SiouxCityStreets.org.

  • South Cypress Street Extension, Ravine Park Lane to Lincoln Way Project

    This project includes the construction of water main, storm sewer, sidewalks, and new pavement between Lincoln Way and the end of the existing South Cypress Street, approximately 140’ south of the intersection of South Cypress Street and Ravine Park Lane. The project also includes the reconfiguration of the Mayhew Avenue entrance to East High School and Nodland Elementary School.

  • Ravine Park Watershed Upland BMPS Project

    This project is located at the Southern Hills Mall (4400 Sergeant Road) and includes construction of storm water BMP's, storm sewer, grading, pavement replacement, and landscaping.

  • Pierce Street Reconstruction (24th Street to 29th Street)

    The City of Sioux City proposes to complete a full reconstruction project on Pierce Street from the north side of 24th Street to the north side of 29th Street. This project will include replacement of water, wastewater, and storm utilities, street and sidewalk paving, as well as intersection improvements at Stone Park Boulevard/27th Street and Pierce Street.

  • Pearl Street Park (7th Street & Pearl Street)

    The project is located at 620 Pearl Street, and includes the construction of a new downtown park with site improvements such as planting, paving, site walls, play surfacing, shade structures, stone boulders, bicycle racks, sculpture foundations, and pedestrian lighting.

  • North Lewis Boulevard Watermain 1st Street to 31st Street - Phase 3 (11th Street-1st Street)

    The project is located on North Lewis Boulevard from 11th Street to 1st Street and 3rd Street from North Lewis Boulevard to approximately 800-feet west and includes replacement of the existing water main with new 16 and 24-inch water main, service connections, cross street connections, and incidental pavement removal and replacement.

  • Gordon Drive and 158th Street Traffic Signal

    This project will include installation of a new traffic signal at Gordon Drive and 158th Street along with the construction of pedestrian crosswalk sidewalk ramps.

  • Watermain Replacement (34th Street and Nebraska Street, and South Marshall Ave and South Newton Street) Project

    This work includes the removal and replacement of the existing undersized and failure prone watermain with new 8" watermain at 34th Street and Nebraska Stret, and South Marshall Avenue and South Newton Street.

  • West 7th Street Reconstruction (Hamilton Boulevard to Wesley Parkway)

    This project includes the complete reconstruction (utilities, pavement, sidewalks) of West 7th Street, between Hamilton Boulevard and Wesley Parkway.

  • Quail Court Deer Haven Drive and Maplewood Street Repair Project

    This project is located on the north side of Sioux City along Quail Court, Deer Haven Drive and Maplewood Street, and includes full depth and partial depth patches, sewer improvements, and subdrain installation.

  • Jackson Street (14th Street - 18th Street Reconstruction)

    This project includes the reconstruction of Jackson Street from 14th Street to 18th Street. The work involved is the removal and replacement of pavement including sanitary sewer, water main and storm sewer utilities as well as new traffic signals at 14th Street and 18th Street.

  • 2017 Country Club Construction Schedule

    Country Club Boulevard Reconstruction (38th Street to West Kings Highway)

    Anticipated Completion Date - Stage III - VII: November 21, 2017. This project includes new water, sanitary and storm sewer utility infrastructure and street, driveway, and sidewalk paving reconstruction. This project will be completed in seven stages, two stages in 2016 and five stages in 2017.

  • Bryant Elementary School Street Reconstruction

    Construction in 2017 will be done in two stages along Jones Street. All work within Stage I and Stage II is to be completed on or before August 5, 2017.

  • Bridgeport West Sewer Improvements & 2016 Annual Manhole Rehabilitation

    The project includes rehabilitation of 24” to 42” sanitary sewer pipe and 48” to 72” manholes. Work includes the installation of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liner; manhole reconstruction, sanitary sewer temporary bypass; street removal/replacement; and new 30” sanitary sewer and manholes along with full concrete street replacement.
