This project includes multiple bridge repairs at various sites around the City; including undermining along the 46th Street Bridge, expansion joint repairs at the Floyd Boulevard Bridge over 3rd Street, repairs for a failed wing wall at the Broken Kettle Road culvert, and the replacement of the Amanda Street timber stringer bridge with three (3) HDPE pipe.

Bridgeport's Improvements consist of installation of a 12 inch sanitary sewer, a 16 inch water main, culverts, grading, concrete pavement, new signal installation, new lane configuration, realignment of Harbor Drive, and construction of a new roadway. This is set to take place in four (4) project phases.

Military Road from Riverside Blvd. to the Big Sioux River Bridge will be reconstructed in the summer of 2018 and 2019. This project will include the replacement of all pavement, sidewalks, and utilities (water main, sanitary sewer, and storm water infrastructure) as well as replacement of the Big Sioux River Bridge deck. Minor landscaping improvements will also be proposed.

The work on this project includes the removal and replacement of 60 linear feet of sanitary sewer and the reinforcement of the storm water channel that extends along the alignment of 41st Street from Hamilton Boulevard to Perry Creek.

The City of Sioux City has completed plans for a new viaduct along 18th Street, from Floyd Boulevard to Steuben Street. The proposed project will include a new 500-foot long bridge spanning the Union Pacific Railroad and Canadian National Railway railroad tracks. A segment of Hawkeye Drive and Illinois Avenue will be realigned to improve intersection geometrics. The project will result in safer and more efficient truck movements.
