The City of Sioux City has completed plans for a new viaduct along 18th Street, from Floyd Boulevard to Steuben Street. The proposed project will include a new 500-foot long bridge spanning the Union Pacific Railroad and Canadian National Railway railroad tracks. A segment of Hawkeye Drive and Illinois Avenue will be realigned to improve intersection geometrics. The project will result in safer and more efficient truck movements.
