Project Overview
The City of Sioux City is proposing a project to rebuild the Hamilton Boulevard and Tri View Avenue intersection, located immediately north of Interstate 29 (I-29). A traffic study has been completed, and two design options—a signalized intersection and a roundabout—are being considered. The project will also replace water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer utilities along Tri View Avenue west of the intersection and improve trail connections to Larsen Park Road and the Riverfront.
City staff and engineers from JEO Consulting Group are reviewing the design options, project details, and expected construction schedule.
Project Components:
• Intersection Reconstruction
• Zenith Drive Re-Alignment
• Tri View Avenue Utilities from Myrtle Street to Cul-de-sac West of Hamilton Boulevard
• Hamilton & I-29 Southbound Ramps
Project Goals:
• Improve safety within corridor
• Connect pedestrian facilities to Riverfront
• Improve level of service for vehicular traffic
