The Environmental Advisory Board is a nine-member board created for the purpose of advising the City Council on environmental issues in Sioux City. Board members meet on the second Thursday of every month; the is always open to the public. Please join us! The mission of the Environmental Advisory Board is to promote environmentally sound practices in the city of Sioux City, plan for the preservation of our community’s natural resources for future generations, and educate community members on environmental science topics, including solid waste reduction, recycling, stormwater, water quality, and other pertinent environmental issues such as ecosystem awareness, energy efficiency, and systems based approaches to sustainability.
