The Re-Event Electronics Takeback Happens Twice a Year!!

Bring your electronics, mattresses, and tires to the 
Citizen's Convenience Center (CCC)
located at 5800 28th Street, Sioux City from
9am till Noon on the 4th Saturday of April and September.

 Fees collected go towards dismantling and
proper disposal of items.

Styrofoam is not accepted at this event; That can be recycled directly at LiteForm in
South Sioux City - Please call 402-241-4402. 

The RE-Event cannot accept household hazardous materials (HHMs) at the event. HHMs can be taken to the Citizens Convenience Center located at 5800 28^th Street on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 8am to 2pm.

Additional items NOT accepted at the Re-Event, but can be disposed of at the Citizen’s convenience Center during normal business hours at regular disposal costs are:

• Wine Coolers

• PCB Ballasts

Will there be neighborhood cleanups in the future?   There will not be neighborhood cleanups in the future due to legal liability issues.  The Re-Event is held twice a year to help with residential cleanup.  The Citizen's Convenience Center (CCC) is open 6 days a week for all other cleanup needs. Hours can be found on the Citizen's Convenience Center (CCC) webpage under "Operating Hours".

Is there a charge to dispose of items?   There is a charge to dispose of items at the CCC during the year.  Rates can be located on the Citizen's Convenience Center (CCC) webpage under "What is Accepted at the CCC".  There is a discounted charge on the day of the Re-event.  

Is the CCC available for all Siouxland residents or just resident of Sioux City?   The CCC is available for all Siouxland residents, including our sister city communities.  You do not need to reside in Sioux City.  

Why is there a charge to dispose of electronics?    There is a charge to dispose of electronics that is used for the dismantling and proper recycling of the items.
