City of Sioux City Employee Benefits

The City of Sioux City offers a comprehensive benefits package and our employees enjoy the benefit of receiving either Iowa Public Employees' Retirement System (IPERS) or Municipal Fire and Police Retirement System of Iowa (MFPRSI), depending on your role with the City.  This retirement benefit provides a lifelong payment upon a bona fide retirement.

Most of our health & welfare benefits become effective 1st of the month following 15 days of employment.  Please review the appropriate Benefits Guide for more details.
