Open Enrollment Period

Retirees have an annual Open Enrollment period which occurs the same time as the active employee Open Enrollment.  Generally this occurs in mid-November.  Prior to the Open Enrollment period, information is mailed to retirees to help them navigate through the process and outlines any steps required to be taken.  Any changes for the upcoming year will also be provided in the Open Enrollment packets.

During the Open Enrollment you can:

  • Change your medical plan in accordance with Plan rules.
  • Add/remove eligible dependents to your medical coverage if you were already covered.
  • Add/remove eligible dependents to your dental coverage if you were already enrolled.

Any changes made during the Open Enrollment period are effective January 1 of the following year.
