8th Street Reconstruction (Douglas Street to Jackson Street)
8th Street (Douglas Street to Jackson Street) Reconstruction is anticipated to start on April 28, 2026, and will occur in multiple phases through the project area with the anticipated completion in October 2026.

Lyons Park & Isabella Square 2026 Construction Improvements
The City of Sioux City is continuing improvements within the Lyons Park & Isabella Square areas with the 2026 Lyons Park Investment Area Sidewalk Improvements Project and the Isabella Square and Lyons Park Area Resurfacing Project.

29th Street Reconstruction Project Jones Street to Cheyenne Boulevard
The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the resumption of work of the 29th Street Reconstruction Project – Jones Street to Cheyenne Boulevard. The contractor plans to begin construction on or about April 6, 2026. All work is anticipated to be completed in Late Fall 2026.
