  • 11th Street Closure (Nebraska Street to Jackson Street)

    The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the closure of 11th Street from Nebraska Street to Jackson Street to through traffic beginning the morning of Monday, July 6, 2020 and is anticipated to be complete the afternoon of Friday, July 10, weather dependent.

  • 4th Avenue and Lakeport Street Traffic Signal Study

    The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the start of a signal study for the traffic signal at 4th Avenue and Lakeport Street starting on or about July 6, 2020 for 90 days.

  • FY 21 Resurfacing Project: Jackson Street (36th-39th Street) Closed to Through Traffic

    The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the closure of Jackson Street between 36th Street and 39th Street to through traffic beginning the morning of July 6, 2020 and is anticipated to be complete in mid-August 2020 weather dependent.

  • Hamilton Blvd. Closure: West 7th to Wesley Parkway

    The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the additional closure of Ingleside Avenue from 14th Street to 16th street in connection with the Ingleside Avenue Reconstruction Project (14th Street to 18th Street) beginning June 15, 2020 and completed by the end of October, weather dependent.

  • FY21 Panel Patch Project Start

    The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the start of the FY21 Panel Patch Project for the 2020 construction season on Wesley Parkway. This closure is anticipated to begin the morning of May 13, 2020 and work is anticipated to be complete by July 3, 2020.

  • Military Road Reconstruction and Bridge Rehabilitation Project Startup

    The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the start of the Military Road Reconstruction and Bridge Rehabilitation Project for the 2020 construction season. The City’s Contractor plans to resume construction on April 20, 2020 and anticipates to be complete in July of 2020.

  • I-29 Construction Update

    The southbound lanes of I-29 just north of Hamilton Blvd. will be temporarily closed for 20-minute intervals from 8PM-10PM on Wednesday, April 15 for the installation of an overhead sign truss.

    The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the start of the Ingleside Avenue Reconstruction Project (14th Street to 18th Street) for the 2020 Construction Season. This contractor plans to begin construction on April 15, 2020 and be completed by the end of October.

  • 5945 Morningside Avenue Lane Closure

    The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the closure of one lane of Morningside Avenue between Bushnell Avenue and the Highway 75 Bypass. This lane closure will allow city crews to make pavement and watermain repairs at this location.
