Reporting Requirements

The Underground Utilities Division is the administrator of the program and processes all Backflow Prevention Test Reports except for those associated with a liquor license those need to be submitted to the Sioux City Inspections Division. Reports may be sent electronically or via mail. Tests must be conducted annually on every testable device and those reports must be submitted to the City.

Backflow Surveys

A backflow survey will be conducted of both commercial and residential water users periodically to determine if there is a backflow risk associated with their water uses and if there are the proper protection devices installed and operational.
