The City of Sioux City has identified 7,300 properties that could potentially have a lead service line or a galvanized service line affected by lead. The City of Sioux City notified affected properties in mid-November 2024 to provide notice of a lead service line that may be present or could have been in the past. If property owners do not receive a letter by mail, they do not need to do anything. Anyone who receives a letter should contact the Sioux City Water Treatment Plant at 712-279-6150.
