Access your City Utility Account (water, sewer, solid waste and storm drain fee) by clicking on the links below. Once you have activated your online account you can pay your bill with a credit card, view or print your current or past bills, sign up for e-notification and paperless billing, request information on your utility account or provide a water meter read.

If you are purchasing a new home you may click here to activate your utility service online. If you are renting please call the Customer Service Center at 712-279-6132, Option 1, or visit City Hall Customer Service Center, 405 6th Street, to start new service.

Using Internet Explorer?

Be sure that "Compatibility View" is not being used. To check your browsers settings:

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Navigate to Tools à Compatibility View Settings
  • In the Compatibility View Settings, make sure that there are no sioux-city.org websites listed in the “Websites you’ve added to Compatibility View" window
  • If there are any “sioux-city.org” websites listed, click on the sites and remove them from the list


PCI Compliance
In order to ensure your data is properly secured during transmission and the City of Sioux City meets PCI Compliance your browser must have the TLS1.0 protocol enabled.

To enable TLS 1.0 in Internet Explorer (these settings are also used by Google's Chrome browser on the Windows Operating System):
- In Internet Explorer, navigate to "Tools --> Internet Options"
- select "Advanced" tab
- in the "Security" group (scroll to bottom of list) check the "Use TLS 1.0" box
- click "OK"

To enable TLS 1.0 in FireFox (older versions):
- navigate to "Tools --> Options"
- select "Advanced" settings
- select "Encryption" tab
- check the "Use TLS 1.0" box in the "Protocols" group
- click "OK"

Establish Automatic Payment for your Utility Account

Click here and complete the form to set up automatic payment of your utility account from your checking or savings account. You may deliver the completed form to the Customer Service Center, 405 6th Street or mail it to City of Sioux City, Customer Service Center, PO Box 447, Sioux City, Iowa 51102. Call the Customer Service Center at 712-279-6132, Option 1, with questions.  Thank you!

Payment by Check Information - Check Conversion

When you make a check payment to the City of Sioux City, you authorize us to use information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account.
 When we use information from your check to make an electronic funds transfer, funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day we receive your payment and you will not receive your check back from your financial institution.
