Traffic Signal Study at Cunningham Drive & South Lewis Boulevard Southbound Ramp
The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the start of a traffic signal study at the intersection of Cunningham Drive & the South Lewis Boulevard Southbound Ramps. Starting today the traffic signals will be switched to red flash to monitor the traffic impacts & determine if the signals can be replaced with a 3-way stop at this intersection. Additional signage has been posted alerting motorists of the traffic signal changes.
If it is determined that the intersection can adequately function under a 3-way stop the traffic signals will be removed & permanent stop signs will be installed in the coming weeks.
