The Sioux City Art Center is preparing for its 21st year of Art Center’s ArtSplash,Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31. ArtSplash is a popular Labor Day weekend community event, featuring exhibiting artists from across the country along with family-friendly entertainment and hands-on art activities.

Everything you need to know before you go:

ArtSplash is held August 30 & 31 at Riverside Park.

Festival Hours are: Saturday, August 30, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, August 31, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is $5 per adult for a two-day wristband, Children 11 & under are FREE. Parking provided at no charge at Riverside Park and at Siouxland Youth Athletics parking lots.


Main Stage Headliners:

Vintage Vaudeville jug band, The Mullet River Boys will be performing Saturday at 1 pm and 5 pm

Perennial Favorite, Tonic Sol-fa will be performing Sunday at 1 pm and 4 pm

Steve Gryb, The Pied Piper of Percussion, will be performing on both days in the Kids Zone.

Children’s Activities include inflatables and bungee bounces, Poppin’ Penelope and her balloon sculpting skills, a variety of art activities, and entertainment on our Children’s Stage. Children’s Activity Tickets are $1 each. A listing of Kids Art Zone projects is on our website.

Merchandise is available to commemorate our 21st year, including the 2014 t-shirt and umbrella. New this year, an ATM is on-site for the convenience of our patrons.

Festival food is an important part of Art Center’s ArtSplash, and this year brings a new round of treats to tantalize our patrons’ taste buds.

The ArtSplash experience is not complete without the artists that travel from all corners of the country to display and sell their work at Art Center’s ArtSplash. We are proud to welcome just under 100 artists this year. Be prepared for another outstanding year at Art Center’s ArtSplash!
