Applications are now being accepted for the 2017 Yard of the Month program. Sponsored by the City of Sioux City, the Sioux City Journal and the Sioux City Neighborhood Network, the program
recognizes homeowners who take pride in their yards enhancing curb appeal.

Now in its 8th year, applications will be accepted for properties located within Sioux City boundaries by the 15th of each month. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or mailed or dropped off to the City Manager's office in City Hall, 2nd Floor, 405 6th Street, Sioux City, IA 51101.

Judges will visit homes once a month, with the addresses that have been submitted, and rank them in certain categories based on home appearance (windows and paint), mowed and trimmed lawn, free of weeds and clutter, creativity and originality, and more.

The winner will receive a letter of recognition, a $25 cash award presented at a City Council meeting, a sign for their yard and highlighted in the Sioux City Journal.

A special thanks to the Neighborhood Network for donating cash awards and to the judges who take time out of their day.
